Event on “Ecological Agriculture and Biodiversity” Was Held

Within the scope of the “Green Homeland May Activities,” Çankırı Karatekin University Vocational School of Food and Agriculture organized a conference titled “Ecological Agriculture and Biodiversity.”

The conference, held for students of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Şahin, a faculty member of the Vocational School of Food and Agriculture. He provided information on the fundamental principles of ecological agriculture, environmentally friendly production approaches, sustainable use of natural resources, and the importance of biodiversity conservation.

During the conference, emphasis was placed on developing environmental awareness in agricultural production, protecting soil and water resources, ensuring the sustainability of local species, and the importance of ecological balance for future generations. It was also highlighted that biodiversity is a critical element not only for agricultural production but also for environmental sustainability and quality of life.

At the end of the event, students’ questions were answered to raise awareness on the topic. Within the program, a certificate of participation was presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Şahin for his contribution to the conference.

As the Vocational School of Food and Agriculture, we will continue to contribute to activities carried out in cooperation with stakeholder institutions in order to increase environmental awareness, disseminate sustainable agricultural practices, and strengthen social contribution activities.
