Assistant Professor Dr. Seda Erkan Buğday, one of the faculty members of Çankırı Karatekin University Vocational School of Food and Agriculture, delivered an informative presentation titled “Forest Fires and Ways of Prevention” to middle school students at Çankırı Yunus Emre Middle School.
During the event, Seda Erkan Buğday explained the main causes of forest fires and their negative impacts on forest ecosystems, climate, and wildlife, using concrete examples. She particularly emphasized that human-related negligence (such as picnic fires, cigarette butts, glass waste, and stubble burning, etc.) can lead to large-scale fires.
