Dr. Erdin Dalkılıç, a faculty member from the Department of Plant and Animal Production at Çankırı Karatekin University, delivered a seminar titled “Safe Foods” on June 3, 2025, at Güneş Primary School.
The seminar focused on raising awareness among primary school students about the importance of food safety. The main objective of the event was to help children develop the ability to distinguish between healthy and safe foods and to foster awareness about the safety of the foods they encounter in their daily lives.
Dr. Dalkılıç explained the concept of food safety using age-appropriate examples and addressed topics such as hygiene, reading food labels, and healthy eating. Throughout the seminar, students both learned and had fun, engaging actively with the content. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students eagerly asked questions.
The “Safe Foods” seminar was well-received as an educational and engaging event aimed at fostering healthy eating awareness among children.
