Students of the Department of Crop and Animal Production at Çankırı Karatekin University, Vocational School of Food and Agriculture, delivered their presentations and oral examinations following the completion of their compulsory summer internships for the 2024–2025 academic year. The event was attended by our Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Kuşvuran; our Vice Directors Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Pınar Portakal and Doç. Dr. Ebru Derelli Tüfekçi; Head of Department Prof. Dr. Şebnem Kuşvuran; internship committee members Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Erdin DALKILIÇ, Öğr. Gör. Dr. Dilek AKIN, and Öğr. Gör. Rümeysa Melan MÜLAYİM; as well as program academic advisors, faculty members, and students.
During the examinations, students presented their work covering cultivation techniques, plant breeding and seed production practices, yield and quality analyses in forage crops, and field observations. The presentations were evaluated in terms of the theoretical foundation, practical skills, and field experience gained throughout the internship period.
Committee members emphasized that the experience acquired in the field strengthens students’ professional competencies and provides a significant advantage in transitioning to the workforce.
Our Director Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Kuşvuran congratulated all students, the internship committee, and the supervising academics for their efforts throughout the process, and wished our students success in their academic and professional careers.
