An orientation on library use was organized for students who enrolled this year at Çankırı Karatekin University’s Food and Agriculture Vocational School. Led by Lecturer Rumeysa Melan Mülayim, the program enabled students to learn—together with the library team—about the facilities and usage rules of the Karatekin University Library through hands-on practice. Within the scope of the orientation, the following topics were covered: Library card, membership, and borrowing/return procedures Catalog search and shelving system Access to databases, e-journal/e-book searches, and off-campus access steps Reference services, use of study rooms, and reservation areas Academic integrity, avoiding plagiarism, and the principles of citation Throughout the event, students received one-on-one guidance from library staff and gained practical experience on how to access resources quickly and accurately. At the end of the program, library user guides were distributed and frequently asked questions were answered.
