Çankırı Karatekin University Vocational School of Food and Agriculture successfully completed the three-day on-site evaluation visit held between 10–12 November 2025 within the scope of the Program Accreditation Process carried out by MEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Quality Improvement in Vocational Education).
This visit covered the program accreditation evaluation conducted for the Field Crops Program under the Department of Crop and Animal Production.
The MEDEK Evaluation Team visited our Vocational School with a delegation consisting of Team Chair Prof. Dr. Yavuz Akçi, evaluators Asst. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Şin and Lecturer Yunus Emre Önal, and student representative Sümeyye Rana Tektek.
During the three-day visit, detailed examinations were carried out under the following headings:

Program outcomes, course plans and teaching processes,

Quality assurance system and continuous improvement mechanisms,
-
Internship processes and collaboration with the sector,
-
Infrastructure of laboratories, classrooms and practice areas,
-
Student support services and stakeholder participation.
The MEDEK delegation held meetings with academic staff, students, administrative personnel and advisory board members, and conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the strengths and areas for improvement of the Field Crops Program.
At the closing and feedback session held on 12 November, the evaluation team expressed their satisfaction with the program’s efforts to enhance its quality assurance culture and its approach to continuous improvement.
Our Vocational School Director, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Kuşvuran, thanked all academic and administrative staff, our students and stakeholders who contributed devotedly throughout the process, and emphasized that the accreditation process has added significant value to the institution.
MEDEK’s official report will be shared with the public after it is delivered to our university in line with the announced schedule.
