Orientation & Information Program Held at the Vocational School of Food & Agriculture

Çankırı Karatekin University’s Vocational School of Food & Agriculture hosted a comprehensive orientation and information program ahead of the new academic year. The event saw full participation from our faculty members, with opening remarks delivered by our Director, the Assistant Directors, and the Heads of Departments, who outlined the goals and priorities for the term.

The program opened with a presentation covering key topics about the Vocational School, including an overview of the School, use of the E-Campus system, academic processes, campus rules and disciplinary procedures, quality assurance processes, School websites, department-specific information, and an introductory meet-and-greet. It also provided details on the evaluation system, exam schedule, and attendance and academic success requirements.

Following the presentation, several videos were shown to support a smooth transition into university life:

  • University overview

  • Smoke-Free Campus information

  • Library introduction and services

  • Addiction awareness and prevention

In their speeches, our administrators emphasized student-centered learning, academic quality, ethics, and an inclusive campus culture. Faculty members also highlighted transparent communication, accessible advising, and fairness in assessment throughout the teaching and learning process.

A Q&A session concluded the program, addressing questions about course delivery, assessment, attendance, and library resources. The event ended with wishes for “a strong start and a successful academic year.”
